Julie is an ordained priest within the Anglican Church of Australia who works part time as the Director of Ministry Formation and Discernment at St Barnabas College and part time as Parish Priest at St Aidan’s Payneham.

In her role at the College, Julie meets with people exploring ordained ministry, journeying with them through the stages of Enquiry, Exploration, Discernment, Formation for Ordination and Ministry Praxis, and coordinating their training programmes as they prepare for roles within the Church. She has a passion for ensuring all people are well prepared for the ministry roles they undertake and is interested in the various aspects of Clergy Wellbeing: spiritual, emotional and theological.

Julie has worked in parish ministry, within the Diocese of Brisbane, before moving to Adelaide in early 2020. Within the Brisbane Diocese she served on Diocesan Council and General Synod, participated in a wide range of School Councils and Diocesan Boards and Committees as well as serving as Archdeacon of the Sunshine Coast. Julie also chaired the National Connect2Church campaign and was a member of the General Synod Fresh Expressions Task Force. She currently is part of the International Jesus Shaped Life – Anglican Discipleship Project representing the Adelaide Diocese.

Julie enjoys watching rugby union (supporting her husband’s beloved Welsh team), detective shows and good movies, she has eclectic music tastes and loves cooking for special occasions.
